Out of the 100 immigration programs in Canada, we have thought well and selected three immigration programs through which you can easily get  permanent residence in Canada.

Let’s go straight to the point…

  • The Express Entry System

The Express Entry System is an online program that you can use to get permanent residence in Canada. It was initiated in 2015 in a bid to speed up the Canadian immigration process and make it easy for immigrants to apply for residence and work in Canada.

In this system you will create an online profile and meet the following criteria below:

  • Work experience or training
  • Age
  • Language fluency test results in English or French
  • Education
  • Provincial nomination (not necessary)

Having a job offer is not really necessary in applying through the Express Entry System. Once you start your profile, you will have to complete it within 60days. After completing the profile, you will be placed in an Express Entry pool draw with other candidates where you will be ranked against a cut-off score using a ranking system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

A score will be given to you with the requirements you have filled in your online profile and this score will be based on points with the maximum points to be 1200points. The CRS cut-off score can be around 700-800points and you will be expected to meet or exceed the cut-off score for you to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in Canada.

You should try to complete your profile as early as possible even before the 60days as this will give you an edge when there is a tie in the CRS scores. This means that when two candidates have the lowest scores, a tie-breaking rule will be used to determine the candidate that will be chosen and the rule states that if two candidates are in a tie for with the lowest scores, the candidate that completed their online profile very early or earlier than the other will be chosen ahead of the other candidate so you see why it is important that you complete your online profile early and don’t wait till the dying minute.

With the Express Entry System, you still have the opportunity to work and improve your CRS score for the next draw as the draws are done bi-weekly (every two weeks). You can improve your CRS score by getting more work experience, securing a job offer, including your spouse or partner or having a family member in Canada.

There are three federal immigration streams under the Express Entry System and they are:

  • Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Canadian Experience Class

Applying through any of the programs listed above and meeting the requirements of the program means you will be getting a permanent residence if accepted or selected.
